THE LETTERS WE RECEIVE ARE ONE OF OUR GREATEST REWARDS
Our main goal in this ministry is to provide for you the most wonderful, beautiful, honorable, and memorable celebration possible. We really do care about you and do everything we possibly can to make ‘your day’ a great experience. One of our greatest joys, aside from hearing your wonderful stories, prayers, and being able to spend the day with you, is to hear from you how joyous, soothing, and perfect the experience was for you. So many families have expressed such kind words regarding our ceremony and the love we show.
Here is a small sampling:
"Dear Pat and Sean, My family you would like to thank you for such a wonderful ceremony for my husband. It was so meaningful. Please accept this small token of appreciation for the wonderful work you are doing.
Regards,
Garcia Berg Family"

"Dear Mr. O'Connor,
It was a pleasure meeting you. You and your son were very caring, accommodating, and compassionate in assisting our family in the scattering of my husband's ashes. I thank God that my daughter found you to help us with this memorable event. On behalf of my three daughters, we thank you so much for being there for us.
May God bless you for the services you provide."
“Pat and Sean,
Thank you for all you do and the wonderful support that you offered our family. Thank you for the comforting words that were received by the entire family which was a first! Incredibly, the best decision was to use 'The Angels Ashes' for the scattering of ashes at sea for our family. May God richly bless you and yours.
In His love,
Mike and Lisa"
"Pat,

"Thank you so much for helping pour family have a beautiful memorial for my neighbor. I'd never been to a memorial like it and now I have a memory of the beautiful day on the ocean with his family and friends. I was impressed with your ministry and reflected what a blessing it must be to the people you serve. You and Sean are there as agents of God's love and light in what must be one of the saddest and darkest times in people's lives. God bless you for the work you do. May he continue to bless people through you."
I'm thinking of posting the eulogy on a blog site I write for. If I do, I'd like to mention your organization and include a link to your website. Hopefully, it might send a few people your way.
Thanks again for your ministry to us.
Joe"
"Pat, I received the lovely certificate of burial today. I want to thank you so much for taking care of me as I handed over Peg's ashes that I held for 6 years. You made it easier to let go. I didn't realize letting go could be so difficult. Your gentleness was so appreciated. I finally realized that I needed to let go and give her ashes to God.
Blessings in Christ. Alice"
"Hi Pat- We wanted to let you know how much we appreciated the entire experience on Sunday. You and Sean managed to make it personal without being intrusive and all of us will carry warm memories of a wonderful day and a fond farewell to our loved ones. We had already spent several 'family afternoons' reminiscing and saying 'farewells' to both my mom and dad prior to Sunday, so we did not have as much of that as I suppose you typically see. Thank you for making a difficult experience as easy as possible-and especially for the 8 bells. I would recommend your services unreservedly to anyone.
Take care. Monica, Marguerite and family"
"We wanted to thank you for the beautiful ceremony you gave for Mary back in January. It was a beautiful boat and a beautiful ceremony. We appreciated the day very much, the help you gave us, and would recommend you to anyone."
"Dear Pat, We want to thank you for the wonderful Memorial Burial at Sea for Ron on December 22, 2012. Thank you for sharing with the family the poems that I thought were fitting for all who loved him. Your Memorial Celebration helped ease our loss.
Sincerely, Margaret"
"Hi Pat, There aren't enough words to describe how grateful my family and I are to you for all the loving kindness that made our farewell to my daughter Jennifer so very meaningful. Every detail was both personal and respectful, and exceeded my expectations in every aspect of the occasion. Everyone present felt that it was a perfect ceremony to honor her life.
Best regards, Iona"
“Pat, Hope you know how much your thoughtfulness is appreciated. The services you provided for my sister and everything you provide for our service members are wonderful tributes!!
Thank you - Geno & Dawn"
"Dear Captain Pat, With all my heart, I wish to thank you and your son for the very personal service for my sister, Theresa, on Easter Sunday morning. You are both very caring and sensitive, which made a very difficult thing to do, so much easier. - Best Regards, Lenore"
"I would like to thank you and Sean for taking care of myself, family and friends and taking us all the way down to Laguna Beach to scatter Jane's and our two cat's ashes. Your compassion and comfort has left us with beautiful memories which will last a lifetime. Thank You! - Kyle"
"I want to thank you and your family for the caring and kindness to my family when spreading Don's ashes. Thank you Pat for the wonderful service at the yacht club. I love to remember Don is at peace and in a better place with God."
"Dear Pat, I wanted to thank you for yesterday. Everything was perfect-and your hug when I almost didn't want to get on the boat, meant a lot to me. Sean was so helpful-and he is a charming young man. He mixed so well with the family-especially all the cousins. I still feel Norman all around me. Perhaps next year we'll go back to visit the spot. Thanks again for your warmth and all the help.
Fondly, Helen"
My family and I were pleased with the ceremony on 7/1/12, for my husband, Ed. this is exactly how he wanted to leave this world. And your ceremony, and you, and your son, did a wonderful job and made our day a memorable one.
Sincerely, Beverly"
"Pat, I want to thank you and Gale for your generosity, hospitality and kindness to all of us on Friday. It is a day we will remember, and we could not have done it without you. The ceremony was beautiful and peaceful, and I think Donna would have been glad to know her ashes were placed in the beautiful Catalina sea. Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
"Yesterday you took my sister, her daughter and the two young women in her care to Catalina to scatter the ashes of their mother. It was a magical day for all of them, and even for me hearing about it. Thank you, thank you for the gift of this day for my family, and the newest members in it. Bless you both."
"Dear Pat, Thank you for giving us the opportunity of celebrating our brother's and mother's lives."
Gloria

Leonie"
"Thank you so much for making the May 5th boat trip so memorable as we scattered my Dad's ashes. We heard such great comments from our entire family. It was a great way to say good-bye! I look forward to receiving the location information. Thank you"
“For eight years, I have planned and managed the funerals at our church, literally in the dozens and dozens. I have never witnessed or experienced a more beautiful funeral than what we had aboard your boat”
“Indeed, it was a beautiful and wonderful day at sea. Everyone who participated in our ceremony that day loved the experience. The glorious rose petals provided a warm and special touch. Thank you for the Memorial Certificate which notes the longitude and latitude of where the ashes were placed. This will be put in a special place of honor in our home. I am so appreciative and impressed by what you do, and, yes, the memories will last a lifetime”
"We thank you for the compassion you have shown our family at this difficult time. We so appreciate your being there for us-making the day so memorable. What a great way to celebrate my Dad’s life!"
“Pat, again, a big thanks to you, your son Sean, and your boat the ‘Orion’ for providing the perfect setting for a beautiful and memorable burial at sea for my best friend. The moment was Devine.”
For the State of California, the Secretary of State and Attorney General, Department of Justice, and Department of Consumer Affairs have awarded a non-profit, public benefit, charitable trust designation to The Last Watch Foundation to provide funeral services to help the Military and their families. We are the only organization in the United States to be awarded this honor. The State has also given us license to perform the scattering of ashes at sea. If a donation to The Last Watch is ever received, those funds are deposited directly into The Last Watch Foundation.
